To me, it's a fixed blade kit knife made by Spyderco, with a great steel, in a cool shape/grind, that I can add a custom handle to, with an interesting and slightly unusual pedigree. I can understand it's not for everyone, but I'd like to try one out.

Hmm... This design is hollow ground. Could this lead to an H1 "mule" that is always being asked for? If the design alone (versus in association with the chosen steel) isn't exclusive to Woodcraft, maybe it could be a Mule2 opportunity?

Went back up the thread, and re-read what Kristi posted. I guess an H1 Mule is still out of reach.

Finally had a chance to snap a picture of the Woodcraft blank today. Sorry the only thing I had handy to show scale was my D2 milli. I will be back in the store several times this week, so I may be able to answer some questions. I'm not sure if I will be able to open the packaging, since this type is very hard to repackage.

I have a couple pieces of beautiful maple that would make that a nice knife.

I definitely prefer the grind and shape of the standard MT blades from an appearance standpoint, but I like what was done with the handle.

Actually, the Woodcraft piece is not a Mule Team piece. Woodcraft named it as such in error and it will be changed in the future.

It is kit knife that is made exclusively for Woodcraft, designed to meet the more general needs of a Woodcraft customer.

It is also CPM-S30V, not S90V. a misundstanding.

Should I be more handy, and with access to a decent workshop, then this one would tempt me "to test the waters".

"The 150265 has a blade length of 2-7/8” and an overall length of 7-3/8”. The type of steel is incorrect in the catalog, the correct steel is CPM S30V.

We have plenty in stock, just at 400."
