Nah, just sleep deprivation. After working all night my sense of humor goes kinda sidways. :D I spent 20 min looking for the gaudiest electric casino carpet, old lady moo-moo print, flashy prints that might only be seen on Jeff Dunham's "SaWeeet Daddy Dee!" or Huggy Bear-ish sorts of pimps. If I could have put those little fabric dingle-balls on it, I would've :PFarmer Brown wrote:Lucy

LOL probably. Unless I hear otherwise from Mr. Janich or site admins, for the sake of this thread I'll start putting them elsewhere on the forum, ie the photos section.markg wrote:Can you work up a commerative "dead Smurf" handle?
Sorry I missed your question and for the delayed response.JT wrote: How about a cut resistant kevlar/dynema/etc. wristbands or short sleeeves, to use in a "real" enviroment, like on the doors? Are there any? I know there's some long sleeves, that are used in meat cutting industries, but is there something like "normal" looking wrist bands, that are protected?
I have officially sold the patent rights to the Jani-Song design to Spyderco. Among my tasks is th refinement of the design to improve its ergos, reduce its overall weight, and increase its lock strength. It is "in the queue" as far as projects are concerned, but as a newcomer, it is behind a lot of other very cool product designs. As the most innovative knife company in the industry, Spyderco always has a lot going on. As cool as the Jani-Song is, it has a lot of "competition" in the Spyderco product development line.harkamus wrote:Mr. Janich, are there any updates on possibly bringing out a Jani-song?
Dear Sarguy:sarguy wrote:Mr. Janich,
A while back you mentioned that the MBC video was being updated with solo training info. Any hints as to when we might be seeing that at Stay Safe Media? Thanks much!
I started signing my e-mails and letters that way about 8-10 years ago. I was tired of the traditional signatures and wanted something relevant to personal defense and safety. When Mike Rigg and I partnered together, he thought it would be a great company name as well.SmoothOne25 wrote:i dont get it why does everyone say "stay safe"? lost of people end there stories/comments/sig/etc with stay safe. is it a famous knife thing or famous saying in the knife culture? i see it everywhere i go - in all the forums, everything
I started doing training courses in the 1990s at various academies in the Northeast and it was a common "greeting" at the end of meetings/classes/etc. then.Michael Janich wrote:I started signing my e-mails and letters that way about 8-10 years ago. I can't say that I see the phrase "everywhere" now, but Mike Bane--host of The Best Defense and Shooting Gallery has "borrowed" it.
There's no mystical story there; just a way of saying goodbye that reminds folks to be aware and safe.
Stay safe,
