I don't own a Kopa(I will soon), and I plan on getting the CF version in a little while. IMO CF looks better. Ultimately, it's what you like and what you will enjoy more, maybe someone can post some pics to help you out.

go with the CF, the squash one was probably the worst looking one out the whole series IMO

I was afraid Paul would chime in and make me second guess. Pics are beautiful as always but - if you have to choose between these two Paul - which would it be?

That's a hard one. As I said, I think they're both attractive. However, given the choice between bones and plastic, even "high end" plastic, I'll opt for the animal byproduct every time. :o

I only have one Kopa. When I bought it about a month ago the CF and Squash Bone were both on sale for the same price.
I liked the looks of them both but I chose the Squash Bone.
I tend to sometimes go against what is popular because I like to be different.
I think the Squash Bone is gorgeous.

Hi Guys, :)
This one´s for you Paul: What would you think about a C-90 ss with CF instead of kraton?
Or a Kopa with Roe deer horn scales?
Just curious... ;)

If it were a kiwi I'd say the bone but the Kopa's frame is so sleek, the cf is quite fitting. The squash bone is nice though! Natural materials are the best and they age really nicely.

A guy at work dyed the squash bone with some tea and it really made it look darker and MUCH better in color.
...oh you know why!

A little more info please? :p

Out of all kopa's I'd go with Pacific blue bone. Out of these two? Squash!

Paul's pics are very nice examples of them both. I prefer the CF maybe because I like the black :)

I'll see if I can try and get a few side by side shots later. I'd say if you get either you will be happy. The will both cut like lasers :p

Back when the Stretch first came out, had one re-done with brown canvas Micarta. Like the feel of it better than the Kraton, but the fit left something to be desired. CF should look good, assuming you like CF, but getting the fit right would be the hard part. Lots of curves and corners, plus that **** "landing pad" in the middle. Cutting that out first would make the job easier and the knife a bit lighter, but think it would still be a lot of work.

As for the Roe Deer horn on a Kopa. I'm a fan of stag, so I'd love it. Only possible problem might be getting pieces big enough to fit. From what little I've read, the Roe Deer is a small deer. I know Boker uses a lot of Red Deer antler, and I've suggested that in the past for both the Kopa and the Kiwi.

+1 on the more info, that sounds intriguing to me as well.

I think Sal did an excellent job of choosing materials. Not all of them appeal to me, at least one comes close to triggering a gag reflex. But that's a good thing, not a bad one, since my tastes, or those of any one person are not universal. This way, assuming you like the Kopa design, it's almost a certainty at least one will appeal to you.

Edited to add: Here's a shot of my two together, looking forward to seeing yours as well Daniel.
