Stretch hardware?

hello, i saw yesterday that the bolts on my c90cf strectch were loose where the clip is. since i don't have the torx key to tighten them, i left it like that. I saw that i lost a bolt today(to of clip) so my question is, where can i find some new bolts to replace the lost one and have some spare and what exactly is the size of the torx. thanks!

You can contact Spyderco Warranty & Repair tomorrow. As far as size, if it's a clip screw, they're T-6 Torx, as are the rest of the screws, except the pivot which is T-10. If Home Depot has invaded Canada, their little Husky Torx driver set is an excellent and inexpensive solution.

Torx size is T6, you can buy a set at Rona, I think costco have it too as part of a larger screwdriver set. As for screw you'll have to email spyderco, I've never seen a screw that small locally.

thanks for good and fast answer! i'll contact them tomorow...i'll leave it at the bottom of my pocket for the next days...i dont want to lose any more bolts. I have a t10 in my wrench set but fit's nowhere on the knife...i'll check out for smaller torx at home depot

Yep, I messed up, Stretch has a T-9 at the pivot. Rest of its screws are all T-6. Husky set has both, plus the T-8, T-10, and T-15 which some other models require.

I don't have the stretch, but I have found that the Husky torx set fits the various screw sizes on my other knives. Amazon has it listed for a ridiculous $29.99, but I bought it at either Home Depot or Lowes for around $7.00.

Just make sure to add some locktite to all of the screws! Usually, only the lockbar and the pivot screw are "secured". I never lost any of the screws of my Spydies. but I do own the appropriate torx drivers to begin with.... so get 'em while you can, and do not hesitate to ask Spyderco for a replacement. They will not disappoint you, like they never did to me.

is it normal to lose a bolt? i never loosen them since i didnt had the tool, i use the knife everyday since it's my EDC. i emailed them, waiting for answer. i guess i'll have to check every bolt everytime i sharpen it to keep it in 1 piece.

Yours says "HD-74502 T, U.S. PAT. PENDING."

Mine says "HD-74502 Y, US. PAT No. 6997088."

T comes before Y, so it must be an earlier variant!

Yours must have far more value as a collectible!

ok, bought a torx set, ordered some bolts and dismanteled the whole knife for cleaning, does someone know if it's normal that there are 3 copper shims(i guess 1 on one side, 2 on the other) on each side of the blade? if it's normal, is there any order to put them?(wich side needs 2?) there is some gap on one side of the blade now, there wasnt before.
