Hi there guys,
Does anybody knows what was the last MSRP for the Lil'Temp? Also what would be a reasonable price for an S30V PE leaf NIB one? As always thanks a lot!!!!

IIRC last MSRP was $ 199,95 for the Lil'Temperance Leaf in 2004; same price for the Lil'Temperance Trailing Point in 2003, as this one was discontinued on year before.
During 2009 I saw Ebay prices in the range € 150,- / 175,- for the leaf version with S30V/NIB; be aware the prices are over original MSRP now ... Lil'Temperance is in great demand.
(todays exchange rate € / $ = ~1,47 !)

The MSRP of the Lil Temp was $199.95.

A NIB PE S30V would probably sell for that much in today's market.

I bid on many on Lil' Temps over the first six months of 2009 period and most of them went over $200. I finally bought a nice S30V user for $138 and then a NIB 440V for $178. Recently prices seem to have softened for many discontinued Spydies, so with patience I would think one could find them at these prices.

I actually like the earlier model, the 440V better. A number of things changed in the subsequent S30V model: the compression lock bar became shorter with a shorter tab and no jimping(to prevent accidental unlocking during kung fu knife fighting), the G-10 edge bevels became smaller and less comfortable and (at least on my knives) the blade was reduced from 3 1/8" to 3".

About the time they were discontinued a dealer or two were clearing them out for $79. Fantastic price for one of Spyderco's best.

I'm sure sorry I wasn't into Spyderco then. It looks like this model will never be made again. No disrespect for the Lil' Temp 2 which will probably be a fine knife, albeit with narrower blade of different steel and reduced handle. It's a shame though that such a fine design was never produced without fit & finish problems (neither of my blades line up with the G10 thumb ramps and Sal has stated they had terrible subcontractor problems) and the clip that everyone complained about. If the design had been debugged, perhaps it could have been a sales success in close to its original design, perhaps with no clip and a belt case. Plus the green G10 has never been used again and will not be for the Lil' Temp 2, so the originals will remain very unique, very usable and (sans recession) very pricey.

Does anyone recall the price that dealers were selling this knife for? What was a common price for the Lil Temp when it was available?
