Spyderlady from the North!

#1

Post by Kahz »

Hello SpyderPeople!

I am now living in Toronto, and loving it! So, my next priority (aside from getting a job) is to find a good Spyderco dealer in the area. <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

It's good to be back! So, what's news?

Kahz

Welcome to the North (even if you are in Southern Ontario <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> ) Good Luck with the job hunt!

Good Spyderco dealers near Toronto? Maybe some of the S. Ontario members can make suggestions. The nearest good Spyderco dealer to me is the Knifetrader in Lansing Michigan - only 5 - 6 hours South <img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Welcome Back Kahz! <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Have you tried the "dealer search" on the homepage of Spyderco.com? I'll give you a better reference for Spydies ( not in Canada ); try glasshartt (GlassHartt@AOL.com)
she has ( or can get ) Guntings ($90)mili's
($90)Lum Chinese ($115) or, on the "low end"
try a jester ($22) or a dragonfly ($30) or
cricket ($35) or Salsa ($50). Let her know Al Treat (me) sent you ; as for the forum, I guess the old axiom applies : "The more things change, the more they remain the same"
Keep'em flyin'!

The Lady Kahz hath returned! All hail and rejoice!!! <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Welcome back, Kahz, things weren't the same without you. Much has happened since you vanished.

Several trolls, one of which has become a contributing forumite, appeared. ATE/AET was forced to sell off a large portion of his collection, including the Forum Vesuvius.

Overall, the forum has retained its brittle grip on sanity, and the SpyderAddicts Treatment Center TM has been running full-bore. So, what's new up north with you?

Keepin' it real...real sharp, that is.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! My Spydies are getting adjusted to the move just fine. <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

I see the SpyderBug has worked strong in my absence. My illness went into recession for a few weeks, but it seems to be coming back... Uh-oh... <img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Kahz, your Uni classes didn't include telepathy, did they? After a while, and all the rave reviews, I officially succumbed to the madness and bought myself El Ratón!

Great little knife, and I've been keeping the hype up in your absence!

Just think, now the treatment for the illness has to be paid for with Canadian $$$ <img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> <img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> <img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Kahz, although I haven't had any experience yet with Glasshartt up here, I'm giving her a shot this fall.

If you want a good dealer up here, great selection, reasonable prices(close to the US(site) prices, without exchange[ie Delica is $70]):
Cutting Edge Cutlery Co, Spyderco Distributer

swords.ca@shaw.ca <---Goes to the owner, Darren

<img src=http://us.f1.yahoofs.com/users/372fcedb ... 8A88UxWudf> We all start with 10 fingers. Those with Spydies have 9 to spare, Still need a thumb. Good thing I still have 8 to spare... <img src=http://us.f1.yahoofs.com/users/372fcedb ... 8A88UxWudf>

Welcome back Kahz! Check the Spyderco international dealers listings.I saw three dealers listed for Toronto. If you strike out there,we have a pretty good Spydie dealer here in the Buffalo,NY area. They usually have a fairly good selection on hand although not as good prices as Glasshartt.

Hi Kahz, Welcome to Canada! Although as I sit here in Edmonton we are 2,150 miles apart, I feel as though you're right next door.

I'm sure you'll have no trouble finding some good Spyderco dealers there in our nations capitol city. I hope you do, as there is nothing like having a local store in which you can browse Spydies...between purchases of them.

Cheers, Jeff/1911.
