IIRC, there were suppose to be 300 of BladeForums G-10 Natives total. In practice, there may have been fewer made, and those which were didn't all sell, so some wound up having the forum markings removed and were sold that way. Sal, or one of the Spydercrew, are probably the only people who might know the exact numbers and breakdown.

Tripod definitely helps, it can allow you to use long exposures at small aperture in subdued lighting, either outdoors on cloudy days or in the shade, or indoors.

Mine arrived about half an hour ago. Quite a bit darker than I expected. Must say I like it even better this way. :D

FWIW, at least on my monitor, the above shots are very close to the actual color, depending on the lighting.

Mine is on its way. Looking at the pictures above, notice how the etching goes on the grind right to the edge of the blade. I thought the etching was put on first and then the knives sharpened but it appears that it's the other way around. Not that it's a bad thing but if it's gone, you know the knife has been sharpened.

Don't they put a collector number on yours or is it on the other side?

Got mine last night and LOVE IT! That is definitely the case with the etching and the lines that go right to the very edge actually rolled over to the back of the blade on mine. At first it almost looked like the blade was chipped but then I realized I was looking at etch marks right on the edge.

This is my first Native and what I didn't realize was just how small it is. I always somehow imagined it being slightly larger than a D4, not smaller. That's not a bad thing at all though and I can see some more Natives in my future - probably at least one w/Krein FFG treatment.

MANY THANKS AGAIN TO SPYDERCO FOR BRINGING US THIS FANTASTIC KNIFE!!

It's better to have knife and not need it than to need a knife and not have it.

I am really liking these pictures!! Looks like it would make a great user.

It's interesting the web goes to the edge of the blade. Does it make a small nick in the edge?
