Hi guys,

Here's a little game that started on the now locked thread:
(I captured the text from that thread)

From tonydahose:

SPYDIE COUNT...232 so far, don't ask how much$$

1. David Lowry

I'm guessing about $17,483.

2. Billy

Haha!! I'm calling $19,720.00.

3. StangBang

I call $27,987

4. knifedude

I'll say $23,400.00

5. jonUSA,EARTH

No less than $22,222....

Even though these numbers are obviously pretty large sums of money for individual people, somehow this thread puts some perspective on how many knives Spyderco actually has to sell each year in order to run their business.... this number is totally made up but say it costs Spyderco a million dollars a year to stay in business (profit plus all of their operating expenses). That's a lot of knives, especially since seeing somebody else using/carrying a Spyderco is a bit of a rarity-at least for me.

Anyways, I'll guess $21,323.

well, since my post went missing on the other one... given tony's lists for 2008 and 2009 that I saw, we're calling it at 90usd average, bring us to $20,970 for 233 knives.

Good Lord, delete this thread! Tony's wife might see it. I don't care if she personally approved every buy and made the telephone call. If she see's numbers like these she will have an overload.

Ummm, I guess $215 total....and I'm sticking to it.

BTW, I have over a hundred spyderco's and a couple hundred others. I'd never admit in public what I've spent on Guns & knives and I'm single. :)
