Well, after seeing many, many neck knives, I think the Swick has the best of everything, while giving up hardly anything, and by far the best bang for the buck! Does anyone else have thoughts on this? S
I'm sure there are also some Emerson fanatics who would argue on behalf of the LaGriffe. I don't yet have one myself but I do have 3 Spyderco Swicks, one original and two sprint run. The Swick is a great knife, and I much prefer it over the S.P.O.T.
The LaGriffe is a fine blade for sure. The SPOT was great as well- but I think the Swick offers a bit more with the Wharncliffe blade as well as the length, and the price of the Swick puts it ahead of the LaGriffe.
Need to get my hands on a Swick. I have one of the PE micarta Spots and I used it quite a bit when I had a job that involved kayaking and cutting nylon ropes, lines, etc. Stayed around my neck so it didn't get splashed with salt water spray and it was really easy to grab when I needed it. Now an H1 Spot or Swick would really be perfect for outdoor use. :D

How do you like the wharncliffe on the Swick?
The RAT Bullet Ant is a cool knife but it's got a bigger blade than the Swick....The wharnie on the Swick makes it a better choice than the spot, hands down...however for SD I'd choose that Bullet Ant in a flash and I'm not even a big Rat Fanatic...Both knives are a nice flat design, the Swick gives you a good ergonomic handle which is a plus for cutting chores and it's made from better steel.... the Izula needs to be paracord wrapped for any constant useful purposes...1095 carbon is not my favorite steel, but the extra lengh in blade makes a big difference....all things considered I would still choose the Izula....Doc :D

I'd say the grip is the problem here... A naked mule isn't what I'd call comfortable. a nice paracord grip is better, but then it's not as thin as a Swick.
i have two swicks on the way as we speak hopefully they'll be in tommorrow if not thursday for sure but it looks like a great knife can't wait to beat one up
I like my Swick. There isn't any change I would want in a necker. Big enough but thin enough and S30V. Scales would be nice but would be at odds to the design criteria of thin is in. My two cents.
As I understand thee are only about 80 pcs left to the current Swick run. We do have another Swick design with a leaf blade about 1/4" longer than the current Swick. We are considering making this model. Thoughts?
