I'd vote for the Pacific Salt. It's the classic Endura with a RUST PROOF blade, and lock bar, and a reversible titanium pocket clip. Weighs hardly anything, and won't break my wallet if I need to replace it. What more could I want??

The Lava, it's the only Spyderco they will have to pry from my cold dead hands when I pack it in. :) Seriously it is the only one I will never sell. Small for EDC, fits the hand like a glove, strong enough to be used for SD.

PE para: IMO the ultimate working EDC

I can't agree more!

Stretch II
Manix II
Tenacious (PE because the spyderedge IMO is too pointed)
Pacific Salt (PE Black Blade)
Just Remember, Using while stupid may cause serious bodily injury!

Current :spyder: Wish List... Pacific Salt (black), Resilience, Persian, PPT, Super Leaf, + anything in 3v or 9cr... and the list goes on and on!

Military: all time classic for a very good reason

Stretch 2: great ergos, great blade, flat out great knife

Superhawk: perfect ergos, great comp lock, great cutting FFG hawkbill

Barong (with Krein regrind): Krein takes a great knife and makes it just about perfect. I can't recommend a Kreined Barong enough.

Caly 3 CF: great medium size knife with great ergos, steel, and CF.

Any Salt: H1 steel is something to behold in pretty much any form.

During all those years, a few knives in the Spyderco line earned the "iconic" status - the Delica / Endura being the first that come in my mind. Of course there is the highly praised Military and let's not forget the diminutive Ladybug either.
The mind commands the body and it obeys. The mind orders itself and meets resistance.

If we talking about "icons" the original SS Police has to be mentioned. And the updated 21th century Police3 is also a nice knife. Of course these are not really office knives or utility knives. And they are too big to be legal in lot of places (******* lawmakers) :p

...and the Poliwog also very recommended... ;)

Surely the Delica/Endura represent the quintessential spydercos....they are the bread and butter of Spyderco and would have to be the backbone of any collection?...

The coathanger, if you will, off which everything else hangs.
