Pics of this knife have been posted before on Bladeforums, but since I just got it I thought I would share the fun with everyone. I just traded for this ATR, which has a Blue/Black G-10 scale and STR titanium low rider clip installed. The work was done by Trimcut123. This thing is really nice, with great workmanship. The G-10 scale makes the knife much lighter, and between that and the STR clip this thing disappears in your pocket. Being a sharpening nut I had to make the edge my own, so I slightly thinned the angle to 12-13 degrees per side, with a microbevel of 14-15 degrees per side. The backbevel is polished out to 8000 grit, the microbevel is polished out to .05 microns, so it is pretty sharp. Lock up is perfect, about 1/3 over and not a bit of wiggle in it. There is also the orignal clip and scale for it if I want to return it to stock, but the knife carries and feels so good like this I doubt I will ever change it back. I really like this knife and have been looking for a PE ATR for a long time, and I feel lucky to have stumbled into this one.
Veddyyy niiiice! :D If you consider .05 microns to be "pretty sharp," I would really like to try out a blade that's "hair popping" by your standards.
God Bless Texas!

Thanks for the compliments guys, I really appreciate them. As for considering .05 microns pretty sharp, you have to put it in context with ZDP-189 or especially M4 at thinner angles, as those are really sharp. VG-10 sure doesn't do too bad, but I had my 7 per side Stretch 2 in my other pocket and it was noticeably sharper than the ATR (it is hard to whittle hair with it because it just severs the hair in two unless you are ultra careful when trying to whittle hair with it). I guess you have sharpening OCD when the edge on my ATR only seems pretty sharp, but there is a reason I prefer ZDP-189 to VG-10, and it is the ability to hold super thin angles and get really sharp.
Very nice Atr Mike, a couple of questions as I'm thinking of doing a similar conversion to mine.... Is the G10 slab lined in any way? And does the g10 flex any great amount? Finally is the G10 used the same thickness as the Atr or thicker??

Hope you don't mind all the questions.

The G-10 slab is unlined and of equal thickness to the original scale. It does have a tad of flex, but not much. At first, prior to recieving and carrying the knife I was a bit concerned about it being unlined, mainly for the clip screws having to be put directly into G-10, but all of my fears are unfounded. Sure, it won't put up the flashy numbers on the lock breaking machine like it would before, but I have the original clip and handle slab to put on if I ever thought I would need those attributes in this knife. I am extremely happy with how this one turned out, it really is a great knife to carry and use.
