What does everybody drive?

If your topic has nothing to do with Spyderco, you can post it here.

Your not wrong there, I forgot just how security paranoid I was with the Charger.

I used to laugh at the different reactions the two vals got. People would see the Charger, jaws dropped , walk over and say hello etc.. If you pulled up in the old matt black ute the jaws would drop, youd get a sideways glance then they would quickly walk the other way... ..Ahh I do miss driving that ute :)

Nothing special, but I love them both.

A '97 Subaru Legacy with 208 k miles on it. I've had it for 5 years now and it's made me a big believer in AWD.

The other is my daily beater, a 1984 Chevy 3/4 ton pickup.
42 Spyderco fixed blades and counting...

I drive --and love-- a 1998 Chevy K1500 Silverado Z71. It's 4WD and has the 350 CI (5.7L) V-8. My truck was made the last year the Silverado had the magnificent 350. I got it with 203K miles. It's got just over 219K right now.

Thus far, all I've done to it mods-wise is install a K&N FIPK (cold air intake). the K&N freed up some noticable extra power and sound. Gas milage improved somewhere around 0.5-1.0 mpg. I get 17 mpg with Shell regular (very little freeway driving).

I plan on getting dual exhaust with high-flow cats and mufflers, plus long-tube headers. Why dump this much into an 11-year-old truck with 219K miles? 'Cause I'm gonna see how many miles it takes to kill it! :D

Don't be so modest about it. Toyota trucks are all I ever buy anymore. I've had my '99 Tacoma for about 5 years now. It's an extra cab, 4x4, with a V6 and the TRD package with a 6 inch Fabtech lift on 285/75/R16's.

Your truck looks great. They are super dependable that's for sure! :D

How many miles do you have on it? Do you have the 4.0L, or does your truck predate it?
