i carry one plain edge (sak) and one spyder edge(tasman salt) during summer. the tasman is a great canoe knife. during cooler weather the sak and chinook rounds things out.

Carrying two knives not only has the advantage of different edge types (PE and SE), but also different blade sizes (think Cricket and Military) or styles (think Tasman and Atlantic Salt).

I often, but not always, carry two. I may try to have one PE and one SE. But more often I carry one long blade, and one shorter blade. It usually depends on where I'm going, and what I'm wearing.

Combinations I love are:
Dodo SE -- Military PE
Cricket PE or SE -- Military PE
Cricket SE -- Ocelot PE
Cricket PE -- Endura or Pacific Salt SE's
