He is a very approachable gentleman and is very friendly. He'll take the time to speak with everyone and share what he knows. I spoke with Sal wanted to get his opinion on the design, but instead brought somehthing back that has a lot more value ... again Knowledge. I learned more from him in the 15 to 20 minutes that we talked than I could've during the 2 and half days I was there at the show. I got the oppportunity to learn some things from the man himself. He gave me tips on how to present a design that I had never thought of or could have ever thought of. What I loved about talking with Sal, is that he says what's on his mind and he doesn't "surgar coat" things. He says it just as he sees it and that's just the way I like it.
If anyone ever wants to learn about the knife industry, how it works, and you have the opportunity to talk to Sal ... BY ALL MEANS, DO SO!!! This has been an experience and opportunity that I'll never forget. A True Class Act and A company that does lead by example. Talk about about a ROLE MODEL for the industry ... There is a lot other companies can learn from Sal and Spyderco.
I did get the chance to see all of the new prototypes ...AWESOME New designs coming out :D . BTW, before Sal and I got into the meat of our conversation ... He asked if I got "bug". I just simply said "No". Sal reaches into his back pocket and hands me a tiny box containing a "bug". What a Class Act. Just thought I'd share ... thanks for listening. Take Good Care and Be Safe Always.
Sal, Thank You for the opportunity, taking the time to speak with me and For Educating Me A Bit. It was a True Pleasure Sir and I'll Never Forget It

God Bless :)
