OK, here's a better resolution picture from Flashpoint, as promised.

Now that the high res photo shows the clip and texture better, I'm gonna have to say it's the Civilian. IIRC, the Matriarch had Volcano-grip FRN handles and the clip was the older style single large screw tip-up only, not the 3-screw "C" shaped tip-down clip seen here.

In the 1995 film, "Sudden Death;" Van Damme's character uses a stainless steel Spyderco Standard to cut the wires on one of the bombs. I believe it had full serrations, but not 100% sure about that.

There's a discussion here about a SS Police in the Beastie Boys music video Sabatoge. So I threw in my DVD and grabbed a screenshot. Enjoy.

So I just was watching a movie called Devour on showtime. A basic horror movie and all of a sudden there is a scene where a guy slowly grabs a SS Police SE and opens it and goes on to cut his tougne off. It was pretty graphic.

Just remembered a 1991 independent film, starring Peter Coyote.

Called "Exposure."

It's about a professional photographer who is visited by a young hooker whom he once photographed. She steals from the wrong client, and gets killed for it. Coyote's character tries to get justice for her.

In one scene, he is confronted by two bad guys. One of them stabs him twice with a Spyderco Police model.

I even recall seeing a Spyderench in a french movie called "Les convoyeurs", I'll try to rent the dvd.
Someone told me in the movie "Gladiators" (the one with Cuba Gooding, not the one with R. Crowe) when Lincoln stops a fight in the school yard, that the knife that is being taken out by the villain (forget the name) is a Spyderco Mariner...lets see if someone is good enough to get that pic!

Starship Troopers had a sequel that was awful and was pretty much a sequel in name only. A third movie, with Casper van Dien reprising his original role, is supposed to be pretty good.

Saw what looks like a SE Delica in Season 4: Episode 4 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Seth Green's character (Oz) pulls it out to cut a bit of speaker wire, and accidentally cuts himself with it.

Hey, this kind of looks like an Endura 3. No?

Only if his hands are substantially larger than mine. It looks closer to Delica size to me.

Seth Green's not a big guy, so I'm fairly sure it's a Delica. As for what generation it is, the episode aired October 26th, 1999... so a Delica 2?
