Spokane TEA Party
Spokane TEA Party
Did anyone here go to a TEA party yesterday? My wife and I went to one here in Spokane. Here is a link to some pics that I took.

I hope that at least privately they admit they were taken in by the smooth talker. However, I won't hold my breath waiting for any public announcements. Of course those of a certain political stripe are getting exactly what they voted for and are probably pleased as punch.v8r wrote:It's funny how lots of people believed all the smoke he blew during his campaign.I bet there are lots of people who wish they could back pedal now.
Others among us, never seem to get what we voted for. We get passive, frightened wimps who just seem to enjoy elected office and do nothing. Gotta give em this though...they sure dress nice.

I expect he's mostly busy trying to work around the fools whose only goal is seeing him fail, even at the expense of the rest of the country. It took 8 loooong years to get the country in the sorry state it's in. It just may take my president more than a month or two to get it back on track. FWIW I just had a cup of yummy green tea and it didn't change my mind a bit.v8r wrote:I wonder if our president is paying attention now?

Personally I don't have a problem with the spending. What has really turned me off from the tea parties is seeing what is actually taking place. Judging from the signs held up at the tea parties I fear most of the people just took the tea party as an opportunity to be hateful toward the president by calling him everything from a socialist to a fascist, odd how someone can be both at one time.
I like republicans like Ron Paul who want to radically restructure taxation and the military but photo op parties to hold up signs that say "obama = hitler" is a quick way to turn people off to whatever point the teabaggers are trying to make. If you have a valid point, make it, don't attend a hate rally just because Glenn Beck tells you to.

Neither aranae or I mean to be buzzkills here, but let's shut this thing down so that Kristi doesn't have to.araneae wrote:Guys we don't talk politics here. Check the forum guidelines. May want to shut the thread down while its civil.
