I usually carry a lightweight plain edged Endura in my right pocket and a plain edged Merlin in the left pocket. But that changes often. I have several carry knives but usually the Merlin finds it's way into my left pocket.

You're not alone, Double Edge, in that your friends think your 'weird'.<img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
Most of my friends think I'm some sort of "knife-freak", and that, "I'm just waiting to get jumped my somebody so that I can try out the 25 knives that I carry" on the poor unsuspecting soul. Gimme' a break...<img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

I just got a Terzuola Starmate in today, and I plan to make it another EDC along with my Mouse, Ladybug, Spydercard, Chinese Folder, and an occasional CF Dragonfly.

Its great to have you aboard, dude!<img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Cheers,

Lalo69,

Hmmm, it sounds like you might have a "Q" model, but I'm not sure. The "Q" features a skeletonized handle and blade with about 41 differnt variations of designs. I'm thinking the blade is 2 inches, but I could be wrong. Does your knife have a solid handle or a "skeletonized" handle? If the handle isn't FRN, (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon), then it might even be an "R" design.

Anyway, good to have you aboard, Dude!<img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Lalo,

I just got your e-mail with your picture. Yep, you have a genuine "Q" knife in SE. (Serrated).<img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

The "Q" design was first introduced in 1996, and retailed for someting like $30 bucks or so. Today, they are discontinued, much to the dismay of many SpyderFans. Right now, one of the few places to pick one up would be over at e-Bay at the auction site.
I bought mine over there for $72 dollars this past Christmas. Mine is just like your model, only it has the tip intact. (BTW, I almost cried when I saw your picture.<img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> How did that happen?)

Anyway, bidding normally starts anywhere from $20 to $35 bucks and might fetch up sometimes to $80 to $100 on a "good" condition "Q". I have a friend that picked up a "Q" a while back for $10 bucks brand new in the box. I kick myself now, as I too should have bought one when I had the chance.

If you see on for sale, put a bid on it! These knives are getting more and more rare. Just don't get skinned on a deal. ( i.e. a good price is somewhere around $50 bucks or so. )

Good luck, Lalo!

Hey DOUBLE EDGE & ALL :

I "rode the rails" with my Ladybug, Dyad Jr.
& of course "Talon" ( "cricket" ) after 9/11
I wanted to be "3 up" on the terrorists if they struck. See my posting "Riding AMTRAK w/
3 Spydies..". Gotta love the "Matriarch" ; as
for the flag "Q" GlassHartt has one (only) for $65 ; couldn't get her to move on it though, I guess the price should've started at $100. That would get anyones interest!
BTW she has lots of <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>'s for hard-to-beat prices. ( GlassHartt@aol.com )Tell 'er Al
sent ya'!

It is a disease. Stop collecting spyders now or it will haunt you for the rest of your life. I see it now...you reach into your wallet at McDonalds and instead of a 10 dollar bill...you pull out a Spydercard!!!! I know because right now I'm carring a Salsa, Lil' Temperance, Calypso Jr, and my new VG10 Delica!

I carry three most times myself...Shabaria in my right front pocket, Rescue in my back right pocket and a Microtech Kestrel in a nylon sheath horizontally on my belt. I will sometimes carry 5 or 6 knives at one time just to see how creative and crafty I can be.

The Spyder bug has bit me hard.<img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

I now carry only Spydies, except for my Leatherman Wave in sheath on belt and Micra on keychain.
