S90V Mule for kitchen use?
S90V Mule for kitchen use?
I'm thinking of buying and having someone do some handle work (as I lack the equipment and skills for that). How does the knife fare with food prep?

For kitchen-exclusive use, I'd find someone to grind the "guard" bit off. (It gets in the way at the cutting board.)
Otherwise, it's a very good profile for kitchen work, and that edge can't be beat. (So long as you don't expect to do any butchering...)
Oh, and you should, of course, keep it clean. S90 is stainless, but even 440 will stain if you don't take care of it.

I am putting the handle on mine (zebrawood) for kichen and camp use.
You really do not need that many tools if you are willing to put in the time and effort. I got epoxy, brass, clamps, rasp, jigsaw and multiple sandpapers.
Adding sweat now. Definately is satisfying to see the handle start to take shape.
