Here I am again..it seems I just can't leave this place, even if I cannot have any more knives bought. My mom says that no 15 year old boy needs that many knives. So when she told me that and said she was for sure serious, I went through a phase editing out a lot of my previous posts, Sharp1 style (BTW..where the heck is he?). But then as I was doing it I realized how much fan I had here, and decided to stay amongst the people of this wonderful forum <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> Even though staying here is going to drive me insane looking at all the knives I can't get <img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Well umm, I guess I am saying thanks to everyone here for making this a nice place. <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Hey kk, you're still a Spyderco owner and you appreciate them. Few of us can buy all the new models (or discontinued classics)we might like, but we all can read and dream!

kk,
You've got plenty of time. I will be 28 in June and finally have the Trucks and Mototcycle paid for, So now I can spend xtra cash on knives & guns. Just start making a list of the ones that you really like and let your parents pick one up for a holiday or birthday gift. <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0><img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0><img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

There's nothing wrong with lookin' and dreamin', now is there? Look at it this way: A down-time without buying lets you plan the next purchase with surgical precision! <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Keepin' it real...real sharp, that is.

kk,
I'm sure you could pull off some of the puppy dog eye routine and she'd cave for your birthday. Just don't mention knives to her for a while.

I feel your pain...
'lo, at 29 I am still unable to afford all the knives that I want...(although my lovely wife has agreed to a Sharpmaker 204 and a new <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> for my upcoming birthday)...BTW, can one REALLY have too many knives?

Great to see you back old buddy!<img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Hey, I know how you feel. My Dad once told me that ONE knife was good enough for any person. The only way I was able to convince him otherwise was by working my tail off and making some of my own cash to blow on knives. Once he saw my in-ground love for knives, he consented and gave his blessing for me to pursue my "habit".

So, hang in there!<img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> Your mom might cave in if you lay off the knife topic for a while.

Good luck, man!

I don't know what you have in your collection already but one way to stay in the game might be to work on upgrading your collection by trading some of your current ones in for newer or more upscale models.

Dear KK ;
Like I told you in a previous posting. Keep all your spare change, mow some lawns, collect cans for the deposit, etc. By doing all this you can "stay in the race". I'm 39 and on disability ( $1,000 a
month ; minus numerous bills ) and somehow can scrape and save for that next <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> fix. You
must have an allowance, therefore be judicious and hold back whatever you can. This is why parent(s) do this, to teach us
how to save for what we want ( especially
<img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>'s! ) Parents(s) say one thing, but they usually mean another.

ATE ( disguised as a responsible adult ) <img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

It'll all work out....you'll see!
