I can also legally carry about anything I want.

And find the trend in laws to allow only 2 1/2" or 3" completely insane.

Sorry, but I just don't get it.

I do get for some the Ultimate Spyderco would have a 2 1/2" blade.
I would also hope those folks are working to change their laws.
I totally agree,I can only carry knives with a three inch blade length,Which is the pits because i have some knives i cant carry because they go over that limit. :(

My ultimate Spydie would be my Para right now. It'll probably change when the Lil' Temp 2 comes out. :)

I know we're getting a little off topic here, but one thing the Para's design has taught me is that I really don't need as big a blade as I previously thought. 3.5 inches has always been my sweet spot for blade length, My first Spydie, the Native I found to be too small, now the Para with its comparable blade length but a longer (some may say disproportionally oversized) handle fits my uses pefectly.
Knife laws over here (NZ) allow me to carry up to a 4 inch blade, there has been some hysteria over here recently with some people calling for the law to be changed to 2 inches and/or knife user licensing...

As a lefty, wish I could partake in the enjoyment of all of those RH-specific knives (Military, Persian, ...) that many of you regard so highly.

Me? I love my Caly3. No complaints at all - it makes me absolutely happy just the way it is. Wish I could EDC it, though...stupid Chicago carry laws limit me to 2.5" blade length.

For the longest time I carried either an Endura or Military, and once I bought my Para it taught me that very same lesson too. Although, I always thought the Native was a very useful size as well.

I'm a lefty too but I gotta tell you, The paramilitary works great for me even though the clip is designed for right hand carry. I was very surprised how easily I could handle this knife.

Mini Persian was my ultimate. I still consider it the best-looking & all-around nicest, and I like the size, Micarta, etc, but I have found that I prefer leaf-shaped blades (less belly) for EDC users.

Now I am looking for the next 'ultimate'.

In terms of users for EDC, Caly Jr and Tasman Salt SE are my ultimates, for now... :D
