Forum Model is in!

#1

Post by SpyderNut »

Well, it finally came in! Was I ever glad to see this knife.<img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> What a neat locking idea! My family was mezmorized by its uniqueness. Heck, I guess I am too.<img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

BTW, my handle is black. I thought that they were making them in burgundy? I was just curious about this. Not that I really mind, just wondering.

What do you all think of your Forum knife? Let's hear it!

BTW, my model nuber is #293. Who has 294?<img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Mine almost looks black also. The Burgandy is more of a Deep Dark Purple almost to the point of being black. I love the knife I'll have to buy another for EDC the lock is a interesting design. And from inspecting the knife I may try to have one customized with Carbon Fiber.

Brown dropped another Forum knife in El Paso today! This one went to me! #231 <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> It's one cool knife. I was surprised to see a black clip though.

Linda,

I think the black clip goes well with the burgandy. A shiney clip would clash. <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Raden,

True, but then, a shiny clip would offset the silver spyder.

The blade steel is the same as in the standard Vesuvius models: ATS-34 in PE. Man, this booger is sharp too!

I like ATS-34, it polishes up nice, and holds a nice edge.<img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

So close. but so far.
The red truck, "Parcel (hack, spit) Force" came today, but I was at work. After much hauranging on the phone they're coming back tomorrow <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

The bad news is that I'm going to have to pay a sur-charge for Customs, TAX and additional shipping this end. Total additional cost £35 ($50) Ouch <img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
I bet all is forgoten and forgiven when I get the knife tomorrow <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Hee hee, yeah and now all those Forum models are spread over all of Spydie-dom! <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> Anybody from Indiana have one? How 'bout Spyderholic II from Fort Wayne?

I know at least ONE Forum model is in good ole' Hoosier-state!

KK,

What?! Your Mom won't let you get a Forum knife? Oh my.....This is worse than I thought. Maybe I should talk to her? I could show her the good attributes of owning Spyderco's vs. other "temporary" objects of pleasure.

Its a thought!<img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

No she won't.

I almost cried when I told her about it and she said "I guess you'll be missing out."

Oh well, I'll forget that she told me that and "accidentally" get my cousin to order me one some day <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

*sigh*
