I carry other knives, but have everyday a millie clipped somewhere on me, even when I'm home (OWB - outside waist band - works great even for shorts or pijamas ;) )

Always with one of my Millies: even made a modification to all my jeans to accomodate this: sewn a divider inside the right front pocket to hold the knife accessible and upright, next to the back seam. The Millie just vanishes, and yet...

JLS wrote:Yes I do. It's been an older 440V Military (but PE, don't know if you count that :) ) for years and was joined last fall by a S90V Military (also PE). It's thin enough to not get in the way and big enough for nearly all jobs on a daily basis.

About the only time I don't is on Sundays for church, I have other dressier Spydies for that job.

At first people at work were a little taken aback, but there are quite a few who now have their own knives and nobody blinks at the Military, not even the boss. I've had it out trimming hangnails as meetings and everyone is normally more amazed at how sharp it is and how sharp it stays rather than the sheer size.
Of course I count that :)

the color of the clip is the deal breaker for me.. I've carried my kris every day for a year, mainly because beside my native it is my only black clipped blade.

I have been carrying a Military in my Right Front Pocket (RFP) since I acquired a BG42 version. Then It was replaced by a CPM D2, which was succeeded by the CPM S90V version. I recently reverted back to the D2 version when I got my S90V Mule setup with scales and a make shift sheath. It handles about 75% of my EDC cutting tasks. The rest are with other Spydercos that I am testing, or just giving a little love to so they know they are still appreciated.

I hope you will carry your Millie if your local laws permit.

Take care,

If I don't have my Military on me, I have something equally as large like a Police or Manix. I've used them at home, in front of family, friends, at work, in public, at camp and in front of girlfriends. Haven't had any looks or comments about the size.

A military is actually next on my list to get. I'm getting a black blade CE. I like the idea of having a larger size folder on me or in my gear bag. I have a police model now but never EDC it because i found the SS scratched easily. Right now my biggest folder is my pacific salt. I always have 2 :spyder: in my pocket and the others in my gear bag which is never too far from me but the military will deff spend a lot of time in my pocket when I do get it.

I don't EDC a Military.

But, I do EDC two Benchmade Rukus, and one Benchmade Skirmish. Both of which, are well in that same size range as the Military.

I love big knives....

Reminds me of a song.

How did that go.....

I most definitely EDC at LEAST one Military everyday, everywhere. I use it for almost everything and have gotten no adverse reactions. Probably due to the mostly rural area I live and work in. Gotta love the D2, BG42, S90V,........ :D

I EDC my Militaries on a regular basis and when they're in pocket, they do the majority of the cutting. I also always carry at least one smaller knife in case I find myself around "sensitive" people and always have my Tasman on me too for the nastier jobs. As far as I can recall, the one and only time I got an actual verbal response to using one of my folders was when I pulled out my G-10 Persian to cut the rubber ends off of my daughter's baton at one of her practices. One of the moms made a comment about my "giant" knife. I just smiled, chuckled a bit, and said "Nah, that's just a little guy compared to some of my others!" :D
I prefer to ask for forgiveness rather than permission.

Actually Military/S30V is about a year my only EDC, in addition to a fix blade carried in my back pack.

For quite some time now my EDC consists of a Military S30V SE or an Endura ZDP189 CE.
