Perfect waterbottle to go with a spydie!

For all of your outdoor adventures, a waterbottle is a must. Since we are all obsessed with the strength of our Spyderco knives <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>, I have found the perfect companion for a Spyderco knife. The Nalgene 1 liter waterbottle. This thing is tought!!! It is made for whitewater rafters and it can really stand up to some abuse. You can get them at outdoor stores for around $10. I love mine! Even thought this is not really knife related, I just wanted to give a heads up <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Yeah dude! NALGENE Rules! I was given a bottle that carries Cascade Designs logo some years ago.. This was totally AWES<img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>ME!

I think the camelbaks compliment <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>s quite nicely!!!!<img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> FYI, I keep the red plainedge snap-it is clipped to the shoulder strap!!!

I like the extruded aluminum watterbottles by SIGG of Switzerland. A bit more "engineered," like Spydies.

It's funny that a water bottle thread just came up. I just got back from a 22 mile scout backpacking trip. I use a 70oz Camelback Unbottle plus a Nalgene 32oz Lexan bottle(if you get a Nalgene, get lexan. That stuff is as hard as steel. You can drop it off cliffs, let bears claw it, and use it as a football when it is empty.)

BTW, the Camelbak I use is known as a HAWG(Holds Alot of Water & Gear)

I like the Nalgene bottles. I have one that saw many a scouting trip. I'll have to keep my eye out for other brands though.

Wide Mouth Nalgene Bottles and <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>s are both the best and indestructable. Spring-Summer-Fall I prefer bladder bags for hydration. You can suck on the water without stopping. Last fall I did 10 days in the Grand Canyon and each of us would carry 200-300 oz. of H2O in bladders in 100+* days. The bottles are best in winter because the bladder tubes and valves freeze (even the insultated ones). On winter backpacks you can put boiling water in the bottle and put in in your sleeping bag like a hot water bottle to help keep your feet warm, plus you can pack them in socks or insulated holders and keep them near your body to avoid freezing. Plus on those sub-freezing nights you can open your <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> and your Nalgene bottle with your gloves on... <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
Try that with other brands of knives and water bottles.

My vote is for Camelbak. We have several, from the fanny-pack style to the 100 ouncers.

They are great. You can even wear them into places where you are not supposed to bring in outside beverages. Just put it on under a jacket and wear it in. We went to SeaWorld and Fiesta Texas last year and they were perfect. Each of us wore our own and we didn't have to pay for very much to drink at all, what a time and money saver.

Well, Fiesta Texas caught my husband's PRCA Pro-grip, but I managed to get my <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> in. <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> Even with his badge, they wouldn't let him take it in, but he could have taken the Glock in. I couldn't believe it. We had no problems at Sea World though. The Camelbaks were in plain view, all 3 of them.

Ah, Nalgene rulz! I carry my one liter bottle clipped to my bag with a mock climbers' clip. I also think the Britta water bottle is great, I use mine mostly at home, but sometimes I just put it in my backpack's side mesh pocket and enjoy fresh water all day.
