.....I've had many of the older models pass through my hands, and the two I would be loath to let go of are the plain edge Starmate and Paua inlayed Vesuvius.

What is that? It looks a full (nearly full ?) hollow grind. Talk about a high waist band... geez.

That looks like a knife I'd like to try out.

Well, what is it?.

Inquiring knife nuts (me) want to know.

I got one at home but I don't dare to carry it that much because it's my only one :o :( .

So I would very much like to have another 2 or 3 NIB, play free(or close to) SS CoPilots/SE.

Preferably in Gin1, but I'll settle for ATS55 as well. :)

And quite a few other people I am afraid.

Lockback answered it. One knife I kick myself for not buying, when it was available.

This one took me a long time to get my hands on, sorry for the horribly blurry picture.

At the moment it's not easy to satisfy my need: C13 Pro-Venator in plain and VG-10 ... I'm searching for more than 1 1/2 years :(

BTW: If I will find this particular C13 I will have a new grail immediately :p

Yep, once upon a time my grail was a FB Lum Tanto...found it, and then soon identified another knife I just "had to have." ;)

I have a few:
Commemorative Worker,
Black Chinese Lum (I was waiting, like the most of us, more than two years)
Lum Folding Tanto,
Khalsa PE,
C54BMP and C54BMS Calypsos,
Shabaria.
It took me a while to find them at affordable price. Five of them I found in 2008, it was a good year. :)

My top choices Natives5, Calys, C83 Persian

For me the grail would be the Karambit. I've recently taken an interest in this style and it seems to me the Spyderco version is better designed than any of the other production offerings.

There are a few I wouldnt mind finding right now.

MIB Numbered Kris
MIB Numbered C46GP PE Tanto Folder
MIB Numbered C46P PE Titanium Tanto Folder

Any of those would not only make my day, but my year.
I have a small collection.. At least in my mind its small. All respect to Sal and this great company! Collector Club Member #120

As soon as I get my hands on that Stop lock version of the Military with an unobtanium blade, that's pretty much it for me.
Of course, unobtanium is alwasy changing so I'd have to keep getting upgraded versions, but at least I know which model I want.

Blue Dyad >> C-44 that is

#38

Post by JD Spydo »

As many of you know I am a serious fan of the C-44 big Dyad. When I first started getting very serious about Spyderco I made many aquaintances in the Spyderco collector community. One guy in particular that really knew much about the super collector pieces of Spyderco was a guy who went by the name "bayigmorin" on Ebay. At one time during about a 6 month period he sold Spyders that a lot of people currently would have serious fist fights over  I'm here to tell you that this guy truly had one of the very best Spyderco collections I've ever, ever seen or heard of. And he sold much of it on the Bay

The one he had that he told me about that was later verified by another huge collector I met was a very rare version of the C-44 big Dyad. Apparently they made a few>>> and I mean very few of the C-44 Dyad with a blue handle. I have since heard 2 other people tell me that they did indeed know this was factual.

Yes my Holy Grail of Spyders is the ultra-elusive, extraordinarily rare, Blue handled, C-44 Dyad.
Long Live the SPYDEREDGE Spyderco Hawkbills RULE!!

Many grails have been found and a few to go . Mostly look for dedicated older left hands so very elusive and pricey . Going to a show in near future where I lamely passed on a lefty Mariner hope to see it again and take it home . A favorite is a Spyderhawk SE w/ endura handle , sorry Tony ! Others would be my CF lefty Police and Delica . Regards MG2
