Sage: From Rear and w/Caly3 Request

#1

Post by prisoner6 »

I was wondering if anyone could show me a comparison of the Sage side by side, open and closed with a Caly3. Also, would love to see the Sage from the rear, is it open?

Man, this would be an easier decision if anyone local carried any of these.

Thanks!

Yes, the Sage is open construction with sculpted spacers. Sorry, but I don't have a Caly3. I bought a UKPK before the Caly3 was released and never looked back. ;)
I don't believe in safe queens, only in pre-need replacements.

I would really appreciate this picture comparison too, as I'll be buying one of the two knives soon and am trying to decide.

Actually a Sage with UKPK comparison would work as well.

That I can do. Just remember, the Caly3 has full liners, the UKPK is unlined. I don't know how thick the Caly3 is compared to the UKPK.

Thank you very much. Actually the UKPK and the Caly3 seem to be about the same thickness to me, the scales on the UKPK are thicker to make up for the lack of liners. There may be a difference, but I don't notice it.
