Question ???

#1

Post by ncampbell2784 »

I live in Kentucky and I own a few switch blade knives, assisted openers, butterfly knives and even some OTF knives. There are a few shops around town that I get my knives at. All of them sell these types of knives. Would I be Breaking the law or carrying one of these knives ? I have a CCDW for my state, does that cover me? :spyder:

this would be a question better off answered by a law enforcement officer. i know that here in texas a "CHL" does not cover "switch blades"

While I'd definitely check with local prosecutors, it's my understanding that a concealed weapons permit (as opposed to concealed handgun permit) would cover carrying automatic knives. I'll be doing a Gun & Knife Show in nearby Lexington, KY this weekend - Heritage Hall, Fri-Sun. Stop by and say "Hi". Got a couple Spyders might interest you.
