You've probably all heard by now about the big Southern California fires burning out of control. Personally I haven't been watching the news at all, but I got a call today telling me that a friend of mine from high school and her husband lost their apartment to the fire in Orange County.
I know that they are staying at her mother's house and that they're ok, but aside from that I know nothing new. It's impossible for me to imagine what it must be like for them, but I know they're going to need all the prayer they can get in the next few months.
As new information is available, I'll post it here.

that stinks...i see alot of families displaced by fire, the only good thing is that they walked away. Losing all of your belongings, old family pictures, momentos..etc is really rough. prayers sent.

My prayers and thoughts to your mate as well as all those involved in and around the OC fires.
We have a lot of bushfires here in Oz and in summertime the threat of bushfires is a stark reality of living in basically a very large dry continent. Summer is great here but the bush can be a tinderbox. We see and hear a lot of stories like yours and can only empathise as I have not personally been involved in one.... very close calls a few times, but not fully affected.
Hope they've got everything under control, glad to hear they got away alive.
