Don't you hate it when you reach in your pocket for your knife and it's not there?

A few minutes ago, I discovered that my new Endura was NOT in my left pocket where it supposed to be. I remembered using it to cut the tag off my kid's new sunglasses as we were leaving the grocery store. It wasn't in my car. It wasn't on the desk or the table. I started wondering if I'd dropped it on the ground at the store, although I can't imagine myself doing that without realizing it. I was getting fairly worried when I remember taking the 2-foot long receipt out of my pocket and putting on the dresser, which is where I found the Endura. :)
Had one of those a couple of weeks ago, I took my son to emergency for an ear infection on a Sunday night, came back home and caught up on work, then when I was emptying out my pockets going to bed I couldn't find my Native.
I thought for sure I dropped it at the hospital and it was gone for good...when my son woke up in the middle of the night I found it at the foot of my bed.
Still not sure why it wasn't in my pocket, all the other stuff was, cellphone, wallet, pen...all the other EDC.

I have had a few incidents, and usually the knife is at home, when I'm at work.
At work I carry my knife in a pocket, not clipped. Thats why I don't always realize its not there, until I need it.. It's embarassing to do the cutting with a multitool blade..

My first :spyder: was a Q. EDC'd it for about two years and was down in Brazil and reached into my pocket...it wasn't there! I never had any problems with it falling out, so my guess is it got lifted while on a bus. If you've ever been on a bus in South America (if not, then image that 60's fad where college kids would see how many people they could stuff into a phone booth or VW beetle), then it's easy to see how one's pocket could get picked unnoticed. That was a great knife -as well as a conversation starter- and I haven't carried anything but :spyder: 's since.

I think I've misplaced my Krein'd ZDP Endura a couple of times, but I've always found it not long after, thank Goodness.
But Doc...you mean...you don't carry any of those 85 beautiful Ronins?! :eek:Dr. Snubnose wrote:When you EDC 13 folders there is never a pocket without one,,,if there is it's an Ut-Oh moment.....Doc
