I recall looking at one in a local knife store in Cary NC. In the crowded glass case, as the owner was putting the knife back after showing it to me it sucked up, and held a Nav 2 as he squeezed it by. I thought it was amusing, but didn't buy the knife then for numerous reasons.

I did now. It's too good a price to pass up.

I recall other now classics not selling, and seeming to be around forever. Now, they are highly sought after.

In 10 years there will be a guy that starts a forum petition to bring the T-Mag back as a sprint as the now rare knife is highly sought after by collectors. :) Joe

Henry,
I am sorry. It wasn't my intend to make you spend money on knives. I just wanted to keep you informed. :D :D :D

I normally look at this forum on weeknights and was too busy on Friday with Halloween to see this offer. This was toooo good to pass up. I always buy folders that lock. Buuuttt, when they offer carbon fiber plus S30V for $49, I can't say no whatever my budget is! :spyder:

....and 2 on the way to Germany :)

- S30V blade.

- Carbon fiber scales.

- Full Titan liners.

- Unique "locking" design. (well, non-locking, thus legal carry in Germany, not that thats important to me, my EDC'd H1 Mariner locks like a vault :D , but you get my drift)

- The ONLY knife that lasted only 6 months until it got disco'd :o (only a "plus" for collectors though...poor Sal :( )

How could you NOT buy one for 50 bucks?

Dennis

PS: I'd LOVE to know how this price came off (most likely below prime cost).... I imagine Sal standing in front of a shelf full of unloved and unbought T-Mags, thinking: "I just DON'T want to see these boxes any longer!! Enough is enough. We need the space."

Thanks to y'all at Spyderco, this is a steal. Really looking forward to trying this one out, I expect it to be a fun little knife. And thanks to cobrajoe for telling me about another knife to spend money on.

Went the gun show today and a older guy vendor was trying to sell a Tmag for 200.00, i told him that they are on sale here at Spyderco for 50.00 bucks and he should snag alot of them for resell, he didnt believe me and gave me this look like i didnt know what i was talking about, funny when you try to help someone and they take it as youre insulting them.

i ended up going back and convincing him to check it out he was very thankful after

Alright, SOLD! I always thought the T-Mag was a cool design but at around $150 I found it hard to go for such an experimental knife. But for $50, I want TWO!

I bet this make's Spyderco supporting dealers that paid more than double this price a bit upset. They will be sitting on this one a while unless they are willing to take a loss.

That being said, I bought 2 :)

I've been reading about the complaints of the weak lock, but there may be a silver lining.

Years ago, I had a Delica replaced because the lock had become so worn, you could close the blade with a little finger pressure.

With the T-mag, there isn't any metal to metal friction like a traditional lock, so in theory, you should never have to worry about wearing it out.

Ok, maybe I'm wrong, but I'm trying to make myself feel better about buying another knife I really didn't need. :)

+1 on purchase....

It may not lock, but I have sort of been looking for a little gents knife.

And has been said before...

S30V + CF + Ti at $50 = Done

2 + 2 is still 4

Has anyone outside u.s. recevied any shipping confirmation yet? In the email I received it says there will be a confirmation when it ships but I haven't got anything yet. I know some people in u.s. has already received their UPS delivery notice.
