I love it. It's classic devil. Pointy, long, wroght iron, and you can even see trapped souls in the handle.

I love the fact that it's not overly spiky or fantasy.

Great stuff.

Very nicely done Butch. You set a very high bar indeed for knifemakers.

A quick question if you don't mind, did you sand before heat treat and then after as well to the 600 grit finish? The reason I ask is that today I have 3 blades of 3V going out for heat treat as well as some santoukus (CPM 154) and I'm wondering if I'm on the right track. That is exactly the way I was going to finish mine.

I think it looks great Butch. Nice even grinds and the handle/spacer/guard look well built/fitted. Good Job :)

i grind before heat treat to about 70-80% less its a really high allow steel ( think cpms60V or more ) its just too hard on belts after heat treat
i hand sanded the cpm10v push dagger before heat treat after trying to grind hardened 10V before

Duff you got to see the knife today so there (what happened to kayaking )

Thanks for your time Butch, mine went out with almost all scratches gone at 600 grit hand sanded.

Again, very nice work.
