The bi brown truck bites....

I hate UPS; They always deliver when I'm not at home, and the office is only open M-F 3:00-6:00 for pick-ups. The USPS, however, is the bomb. I picked up 3 new <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> yesterday from SMKW. I couldn't pass up the prices on the Wegners and Ayoobs.

SMKW--Good service, Fast delivery, Low prices (at least on some)

Wegner--Feels good, Good grip, Good lock, Great EDC, Needs double liners and maybe a secondary lock if you want to use it for MBC purposes

Ayoob--Feels good, Looks strange, Bought two, Lightweight and Thin, VG-10 blade, Grip could be a little "grippier" ( I don't know if its possible to checker or stipple the grips given the Almite coating?)

Overall---Satisfied---Pachucks

P.S. The title is supposed to say "The Big Brown Truck," not "Bi." I neither know about, nor care about the proclivities of UPS.

You'll have to give the Ayoob a work out and let us know more about it. Some people have put grip tape on it for traction. <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

I thought about that, but felt it would be a little uncomfortable IWB and slower to withdraw during pocket carry. Pachucks

Yeah, the "Big Brownie" has delt wrongfully with me too in the past.<img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
Of course, all was forgiven when they brought my Mouse to me on time!

You mean like the grip tape they use on skateboards? Or is it a less abrasive version? That stuff will take your skin off if you drew it fast enough IWB, because it's like sandpaper.

Exactly like skateboard tape (thats what the package says anyway, you can get pretty good deals on it at skateboard shops). I've seen people put that stuff on everything from knives, to guns, to tool handles, to, well skateboards, you get the idea...

P.S. It wears down a little pretty quickly if you help it, its not too bad on the old manos.
