The SKU in the title and Kristi's original post is C41PPN. I believe Motorep's picture is of one he purchased at SFO. So I am guessing that, at least for now, they are PE.

why does it have the older handle instead of the nativeIII handle ?


i always liked the newer style better

The Native I is made in the US by Spyderco employees on Spyderco machines in their own facility.

The Native III is made in Japan by other makers.

It is obvious that a quick change in design and production (= i.e. color) is easier when the production is under their own roof rather than overseas.
