All my razor-sharp knives and I cut myself on this

Post by clipiteer »

I feel stupid. I was fusing the end of a piece of climbing cord attached in a noose through the lanyard hole in my Delica and was looking for something to strike my match on. I didn't want to leave a big mark on the wall or on the handle of my knife, so I struck it in the blade of a tape dispenser, slipping and leaving a rather deep cut in my index finger. I was just thinking that I use all these scary-sharp blades every day, and I cut myself striking a match on a tape dispenser. Oh well, maybe I can pass it off as a Spyderco related injury.

Bummer!

I took a little flesh off my thumb last night with my Wegner, not serious, just took a layer off. Be safe, bro.

Cutting oneself on a stapler... how embarrassing! Glad to see it's healing up okay!

Keepin' it real...real sharp, that is.

When I used to work at a mechanic's garage, we had the painful "ailment" known as "knuckle-busters". This pain was experienced when you had a lot of torque on a ratchet or wrench and, suddenly, the dang thing slips off the nut and your hand goes flying off into some sharp corner on the car. Then you would sit back and watch the blood ooze from all the various cuts that came from your knuckles. *Cringes* Just thinking about it gives me the willies!

I got a darned cardboard "paper" cut yesterday and it is already red and nasty.
My spyderbites never get this nasty.

Ryan,

You might also remind Spyderholic that he should do the "spine whack" test before he sharpens the knife.I saw the blood that day.

I hope the "spine test" doesn't have anything to do with the little Samuri dudes on Spyderholic's post......( Ouch! )

Hee hee!
