Final Quick Vote - 6 month knife test (please jump in for a quick vote)
Hey folks,
It seems pretty landslide for the UKPK. So I'm going to throw up a last quick vote for some of the knives mentioned in the "other" category and see what you all think.
Unless something changes drasticly I will be buying a UKPK soon here and starting my 6 months worth of carry.
You don't even have to type a reply in this thread if you don't want.
If you would stop in and just give a quick vote I would much appreciate it.
Here's the original thread for those curious:

Remember, your final decision will be what I purchase and carry for 6 months.
Thanks,
David

Still UKPK
Several interesting additions, but I still look forward to your long-term review of a non-locking :spyder: .

Well, since none of the ones I wanted to see made your list, I went with the Captain. I'd love to see how you feel about that knife in March. I have a UKPK and while it's a nice knife, I don't see any hidden gems in there to find by EDCing it. I do with the Captain (and with the Lava, which also isn't on the list)
Good luck,
Ken

I edc my caly 3 regular. I however am a guy who loves to change flavour within a week so these kind of threads are hard for me
.
I will follow this thread with great interest. How the ukpk will hold out without its lock. The lock-less is my major concern; in edc for certain tasks you might need it. I think it will be better as a classic slipjoint as the recoil and notchjoint will work safer. Next to that the backlock sometimes can be a bit annoying when closing it very frequent on the job dumping the knife back on pocket.
I could not make up my mind between the new rookie, para millie persian and the one chosen... :o
So i'll be eager to hear from your lock less experience over the next 6 months.
Great thread in the works
