BaliYo problems

#1

Post by kbuzbee »

I don't get the BaliYo.... I mean, the action is smooth and all but I just can't cut ANYTHING with it

I mean, what's up with that round plastic blade???

I tried opening packages like I do with any other :spyder: and NOTHING!!!!

I would rate this a TERRIBLE slicer!

Sure, it deploys quickly, but... so what....

Just kidding! This thing is a blast!!!

Love it!

Ken, you are going to give Eric a heart attack! :p

Glad you are enjoying it, it is a bit addictive eh? You should see the looks I get at some of my shows (especially since mine is pink/orange). :D

Good one Ken. I agree it doesn't cut to well, but it does flip and write like crazy! :p

It's great, and I do get a lot of stares and a few questions (mine has the USA colors), but the red side is rather "sticky" and refuses to flop around as loosey-goosey as the blue side. I've tried to flex the plastic, but it has only helped a little and I'm afraid of snapping it off.

If anybody can offer a solution, that'd be just swell. :)

I had to loosen the pivot screw on the red handle about half a turn to get mine freed up enough to flip reliably. Now I only spend half my time picking it up off the floor instead of three-fourths.

I don't think you can loosen the pivot screw...when you turn one side, the other side goes with it, making me believe that its all one piece somehow. :(

It takes two Torx bits, one on each side, but I had no trouble loosening mine.

It just goes to show, you can never totally anticipate how someone is going to use your product. Especially when it strays from you main line. Ask Eric if I can send mine in to be reground? :D :D :D

I bet. Definitely addictive. I keep one in the car for those long lights and such.

I'd love to get a Baliyo, but as I live in the UK it works out to be quite expensive. :(

Hang in there, we're working on some options for our friends outside the US. Hope to post about it soon.

Thanks Kristi.

I have a birthday coming up in a couple of weeks and I can't think of anything I'd rather buy myself than a BaliYo :) .

My blue handle was the one that seemed to stick. I used my dremel to open up the slot on the handle where the pen sticks. Problem solved :D

Why, of course you can't cut anything with it. By mistake, you bought the trainer! :p
