Mine arrived today :D thanks Spyderco, it is way cool & alot of fun - I do need some slower motion video of the moves though & maybe some written directions / drawings or something I have watched the video over a bunch of times but I can make it out to good to see what to practice.
I have never flipped a bali or butterfly so I have no experience to draw from.

At least you won't have to explain knife cuts until then.
There's quite a few balisong instructional videos / websites. I have never taken the time to really try to learn official tricks. Just don't give up (like you said). The rest will come eventually.
When I was a kid, you had to worry about cutting yourself on a Bali. I mean, we would have to flip a Balisong, bare handed, while we walked 10 miles to school, up hill in 5 feet of snow in the middle of July. We cut ourselves often, and then would have to have our grandmothers stitch our hands up with needle and thread. Kids today... geez....
UPS man just delivered my RWB BaliYo. I have to admit it's a lot lighter than I was expecting. Really fun to try and manipulate though, without worry of getting cut. :D

I've been flipping mine all evening. I can't stop. It is completely addictive. It is going to work with me tomorrow. Somehow the Fisher Space Pen refill has separated from the mothership and gone airborne a couple of times which keeps things interesting. :D I just keep pushing it back in. The poor BaliYo has hit the floor a number of times, but this thing looks like it can take a beating.
Congrats George, very sharp and crips pics too. Mine is the same variant as yours and I should have it tomorrow. I do have some bali-experience from my teens, but got rid of all of them over the years, so I can't wait to see if I still have some skills on the BaliYo.
