Questions about H1 range.

Hay Spyder-nuts can anyone tell me if the Salts (specifically the Pacific) have been made in any colours other than yellow or black? Or failing that might the handles be interchangeable with another model in another colour?

Thanks in advance.

I believe all Salts are all either yellow- or black-handled. Since the pins on the handle are "fixed", you can't change the handle.

The Pacific has never come in any other colors to my knowledge. Also, considering the blade pivot and lockbar pivot are pinned rather than screwed it would be harder to get the knife apart, and the possibility of damaging it while doing so would be higher. Interchange-ability of handles isn't really an option on that model like it would be for the latest generation of FRN Delicas or Enduras.

Orange seems to be a popular color request. We may see more colors in the future, due to the increased popularity of the Salt series.

I would kill (well not really :) ) to get a Saver Salt with an orange handle. That would be my dream knife, everything I love about my Rescue JR, with total rust resistantance added to the equation.

Don't ask me why, but I'd really like to see some Salts in blue...

I would like to hear what Spyderco thinks of doing several colors of FRN Salts. Production and projected sales must be thought about carefully.

I've stated before that I would buy my favorite Salts in several colors.

My favorites are the Pacific, Salt I, and the Tasman. I'm currently using a PE Aqua also, with a SE Aqua at home waiting.

I'd like to see them in green (FG or British Racing), tan (desert tan or coyote brown), white, orange, dark blue, maroon. I'd also like to see the titanium clip left unpainted. If Spyderco would make them, I'd buy them. Until then, black will work okay.

I agree BJ. I think more color variations for the Salts' would be great.

Good for sales, ELUs and Collectors. :)
