Which shade of purple would you choose for a G10 knife?

I'll go with the aubergine, please... ;)

Well, my high school colors were purple and white but the purple was dark and shading towards blue. Definitely not the same as Barney the Dinosaur, who was also considered purple.

Thank goodness this poll allows you to vote for more than one option. I voted for them all! Any purple is good purple.

My vote is for the manliest Purple (Violet) Spyderco can find. :p

Check this link for some different shades: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purple

Purple is obviously a mixture of Reds and Blues.

You must be younger than me.

Why in my day, we had green, purple and red Koolaid, each mixed with two cups of water and 1/2 a pound of sugar, and we liked it!

Problem for me is not the color, it's the shaping and finish. Think purple G-10 could look really good, but only if it were contoured/crowned and polished so the "bulls-eye" grain pattern was visible. As for color, something close to this as the base color would be nice...

But probably a lot depends on the knife. Paul's Kiwi looks great, but I wouldn't buy purple Persian or Caly3.

i am gonna have to vote for no on the color purple, it might look good on one model but if the past is any indication we will have X color of G10 for like 10 different knives. you think you hear people whining about foliage green now (myself included) if purple was picked it would be much much worse. just my opinion.

Maybe sort of a "frosted" purple...kind of like Concorde grapes fresh off the vine. Image

Well, anyway...you gotta admit, G10 in "frosted Concorde purple" has more sales punch. Image
