Anyone ever order from hamonoichiba?

#1

Post by AllenETreat »

I'm having a bit of a problem with Mr. Hasegawa...

I placed an order on-line with hamonoichiba.com. I waited the
24hrs for a reply e-mail. Nothing. I e-mailed him about the order
and I still got no reply. What's the story? Are they still in business?

Did any of you ever have this problem with hamonoichiba?

The total time is since the order was placed is 48 hours, perhaps a little more? I haven't ever dealt with them but if it's only been two days I'd wait a bit more. Maybe it's a holiday in Japan and businesses are closed or something like that.

I've ordered from them 1st of May and got my confirmation, hopefully the knife arrives later this week! ;)

I'm using this run as a trial to see IF any problems occur..............been quite open and told them this.

I can't remember who told me (apologies to whoever it was! :o ) BUT it is appreciated!

"tonydahose" is another font of knowledge for sources so it may have been him................ :D :p :p

I ordered from Naohiko 2 times.

My Alu Cricket/SE went without problems.

My SS Worker/SE stayed at our postal service for over a week because one of our Japanese friends forgot to mention my zip code on the package. Because of this I had to pay an additional EUR 18(about $28). This turned out to be a rather expensive Worker after all :(

But he appologised to me via e-mail.

However it's true that Naohiko is not very much of an e-mail man.

Maybe he'll respond on this address:nao117@mvj.biglobe.ne.jp . I think it's his personal one :confused:

I ordered from Hamanoichiba as well, snagged me two colored jesters. Although the owner/operator may not be as fast to respond to e-mails or to confirm the shipment of orders, as say NGK, he did pull through and took care of the order very neatly.

I have ordered twice from them. I think Mr. Spydutch asked me about them back then. :D

I had no problems with their customer service or products. My computer doesn't like theirs or vice versa, the emails and ordering cart buggered up both times, but all ended very well.

Golden Week was in full swing.

S/F,
CEYA!

The national holidays making up the Golden Week are:

* April 29
Showa Day (Showa no hi):
April 29 is the birthday of former Emperor Showa, who died in the year 1989. Until 2006, Greenery Day (see May 4) used to be celebrated on this day.

* May 3
Constitution Day (Kenpo kinenbi):
On this day in 1947, the new post war constitution was put into effect.

* May 4
Greenery Day (Midori no hi):
Until 2006, Greenery Day used to be celebrated on April 29, the birthday of former Emperor Showa. The day is dedicated to the environment and nature, because the emperor loved plants and nature. Before being declared Greenery Day, May 4 used to be a national holiday due to a law, which declares a day, that falls between two national holidays, a national holiday.

* May 5
Children's Day (Kodomo no hi):
The Boy's Festival (Tango no Sekku) is celebrated on this day. Families pray for the health and future success of their sons by hanging up carp streamers and displaying samurai dolls, both symbolizing strength, power and success in life. The Girl's Festival, by the way, is celebrated on March 3.
"Stay in the fight because we are Marines and the mission will be complete regardless of degree of difficulty."
