Lost my latest Spydie!!!

#1

Post by liberty911 »

 OK, so I have been in Wisconsin for the past month getting some Army training prior to my deployment, and I lost my FG SE D4.

I feel all empty inside.

That's bad news indeed. The best way to recovery is to purchase a new one immediately.

Darn metal clip catches on my shirt tails and pulls out of my pocket all the time. I lost a merlin because of that. John.

Condolences. That is said without a trace of sarcasm at all, and in all genuine sincerity. I hope somehow it turns up.

Get a better one. Think of it as an excuse to get a laminated Caly or an auto. :D

If it keeps falling out then it's time to forget the clip and put it down in the buttoning leg pockets when in and out of vehicles, training etc. You could even velcro the leg pockets if it still slips out, or put another, 3rd button on it. When you're in classes a regular front pocket should do fine. I've been through this too.Just make sure the knife is tight. when you are running and slidind and other stuff you don't want a blade opening up in your pocket. I'd leave the waved models at home though they would likely be safe. Joe

I hope it does turn up. I am back in Cali for a LITTLE while before I leave, so I hope somebody finds it and gets as much envoyment out of it as I did. It was a Valentines day gift from the wife, so it does have some sentimental value.

Oh well. My all black D4 will just have to cut it until I get a new one! :)

Buy a tan native when you get to KAF or Iraq. ;) Where are you going to?

I'll be going to southern Iraq. I am looking forward to my little vacation! If I can find the tan Native I will pounce on it. My good friend won one from Spyderco in Bagdad last year.

This is liberty911's wife.

I would like to say thank you to all of the patriots on here who still support the troops. I would appreciate your thoughts and prayers for my husband and his troops as they prepare for this dangerous trip. Thank you all for your generosity. Markg, thank you!

Sincerely,

A Proud Wife of an American Hero

I feel your pain, I was bummed when I "lost" my Endura. I found it around the
house when I was looking for something else.

I kept expecting to find my small Persian after that camping trip :(
I prefer to think somebody responsible found it after we left the site but I've got a nagging suspicion one of our crew liked it a little too much and pocketed it.
