Your very first Spyderco was a _____?
Stainless steel PE Dragonfly.
I was looking for a small EDC knife. I had tried many kinds of knives and was looking for something new for the collection. I had never heard a single negative thing about Spyderco and the price was right so I finally took the dive.
I was impressed the moment I slid the box open! It put everything else I'd ever seen, held or used to shame. Outside of fixed blades, I will never buy another type of knife. Why waste the money when there are so many Spydies out there?
I now enjoy many other Spyderco's- but I still hold the Dragonfly as a unique piece of engineering for it's aesthetics, size, comfort and cutting power.
*Ahem... Another shamless plug asking for the Dragonfly to recieve the same attention the Delica recieves.... Variety! Variety

My first spyerco was the Centofante 3, but the one that got me hooked was the Endura 3, bought about 2 months later. It saw a lot of use but was sadly lost in the line of duty
, but was then replaced with another 3, and then a 4 and so on and so forth!!

Top :spyder:s : Caly 3, Stretch, Millie, Manix 2, Police, Kopa, Polliwog, Meerkat, Chinook III, and SuperHawk.

1984 - C05 Standard was my first. Plain edge, all-stainless, integral metal clip. Nice knife, but in my youth, I thought it too small, and rarely carried it. Eventually put it away.
2007 - Caly 3 CF/ZDP189. NOW I was hooked!

:) :) Ditto for me.Knife was given to me by father in-law (he is a rancher)
Was the nicest knife I'd ever had...by far.Still have it,it resides in my
toolbox in the garage. Lotsa of "miles" on that knife, still sharp as heck with
a solid lock-up and NO blade play.My addiction started then (1988)but it
was a couple of years before I started to buy more.(wife in college, kids in diapers) LOL :D :D :D

First model Endura with the FRN clip. I still have it in EDC able condition and still carry it though I don't use the clip anymore . It still looks good too. :) Joe
