Just curious what your first Spyderco was. The one that got you hooked. I will start by saying that mine was a blue aluminum Salsa PE. What was yours?

My first was an aluminum Peter Herbst. Quickly realized it was a bad choice for a lefty, but did get hooked by the hole. Next was a Native I still carry occasionally.

fully serrated endura 1 frn clip, replaced by pe endura 1. (let's see, I was in HS when I got the se, so had to be 93 or 94 I'd guess), then a native (broke the tip), s30v native (gave to bro in law who promptly lost it ) now d4W, expecting a caly 3 to wander it's way here tomorrow :) next up is a para black blade PE, either I"ll get it with some horsetrading or tax stimulus check :)
My first :spyder: was FRN Native, just because I wanted to try S30V. But little Kopa Coco got me hooked on Kopas first and than on other Spydies. :)

My first Spyderco was a Black Blade, Plain Edge Para-Military. Everyone around me was wondering why I would spend $180 on a knife when I could get one for $10 at Canadian Tire.
PS. If you're wondering why it was $180, it's because thats how much it cost to get it in Canada at the time. I could have saved ~$20 if I bought it from the States, but then there is the good chance that I would have had to pay a large duty on it...
