Here's something to file in the "Who Knew?" folder
I found this in the Knifecenter description for the Dragonfly
"Tom Sachs, an artist living in New York with works featured around the world, is also a Spyderco fan. He requested a white Delica in a Combination Edge for his creation of the “Space Program” a full scale reconstruction of man’s first walk on the moon with Tom’s twist. It debuted at the Gagosian Gallery in Beverly Hills, California in September of 2007.
Inspired by Tom’s enthusiasm for white Spydercos, Spyderco has created a collection of some of Spyderco’s classic designs in White. The White Delica, Endura, Dragonfly and Ladybug are available for a short time and in limited quantities." - from Knifecenter White Dragonfly description

And Google turned this up, Exhibit/Gallery link

Just in case anyone else was curious- I spoke with the always helpful Lynette at the SFO today, & there are no White Dragonfly's in stock yet. They are expected soon she said. No retailers should they have them until the SFO does.
So many knives, so few pockets... :)

I would carry them (watch me eat my words...)
After years of hanging around knives, I have found some general "principles" about knife values.
Knives that are often meant as "collectibles" don't often go up in price as high as you might think. Keep in mind, 600-1000 knives is a lot, and every one thinks they are going to be worth a lot of money... You have a lot of knives being stored, waiting to cash in, and this does not help the price. Limited editions runs of under 150, and in some cases only 25 are low numbered and I would think that is where the money is at.
Look at the knives that seem to gain in value.
Knives that are scarce and have interest. For example, an early Gunting. It was not made as a collectible knife, however has the "scarce" and the "interest" part down. Hence the price you will pay for one. Yojimbo's will be the same way. This is where the "money" is at. IMHO.
My point is... If you want to carry one of the white knives... Go for it, I know I will be carrying mine.
I look at this way... I don't buy knives as "investments." If I get lucky to own a knife of value... Then I consider it a stroke of good luck. If I want to invest, I will buy stock, bonds, oil... :D
