Here's my latest, 8x10, done in pencil. It came out better than I thought it would. Enjoy!

Awsome drawing, thanks for sharing and congratulations. Your work gets better and better, always a pleasure to see it.

That one is incredible!

Thanks, my friend. I never had a single formal lesson in my life. I do allow myself a little "cheating". In drawings like this, I find it difficult to get the dimensions perfect freehand (I could do it, but it would take about five times longer), so I'll place a photo on a light table and make a very light tracing of the outline and where the eyes, nose, & mouth are located. That way, I have reference points to "steer" my way through the drawing.

All the shading and minute details, though, are all me. I live for detail/shading! When a drawing turns out as well as the bobcat did, I can't begin to tell you the satisfaction it brings. Even more fullfilling, though, is when other people become excited about my artwork - I love the joy it brings many people! Nothing like seeing someone go wild over your artwork (it's also very humbling, in a way, too).

My artwork started out as a way to combat boredom on my job. Then I found it as a way to make a little extra money on the side. I still do enjoy when I can make some money, given my financial situation.

However, now I feel that my art has evolved into something higher than that; it's a small way that I can create beauty for others to enjoy, and it's a way to spread love. Spreading positive energy throughout humanity creates love and happiness, and that can only be a good thing. This world is full of ugliness and brutality, and we need to clean it up. This is one of the ways I try to do my part.

Thanks, guys.
I actually said to my wife last night, "Should I call this one a Lynx or a Bobcat?" I actually wasn't sure if there was a difference between the two. I like the word "Lynx", it just sounds neat.

Thanks for posting regarding the Lynx/Bobcat title.
