1. Delica (all-time favorite)
2. Military (the knife that "defines" Spyderco IMO)
3. Terzoula Starmate (favorite "classic")

My Top Three Faves!

#105

Post by ColinTsDad »

1) My Civilain (I had the clip flipped to carry it 'Tip Up' many years ago).

2) G-10 Police Model w/ Serrated blade. This model is much lighter than it's heavier stainless steel brother and carries easier in the pocket. Good to see it's coming back to the line up.

3) Military w/ combo edge and black blade.

I've been a police officer for 15 years. While I'm at work, I've got all three of these models on me and use them almost daily. I had the clips flipped to the 'butt end' to facilitate Tip Up Carry. This was long before the added wholes ever came to be. I've disabled cars trying to flee, cut people out of their seatbelts, and even cut the shirt off a guy when one of our K-9's wouldn't let go. Useful tools? To say the least!

Another sleepless night with nothing to do!!!

The Top Ten Spydies, as voted by Forumites, are:
10th Place goes to the Kopa, Native and Yojimbo on 9 votes each
8th Place goes to the Chinook and Endura on 11 votes each
6th Place goes to the Dodo and Persian on 14 votes each
4th Place goes to the Manix with 16 votes
3rd Place is the Delica on 22 votes
2nd Place is the Mili with 26 votes
and 1st Place with a whopping 38 votes* is

:spyder: :spyder: :spyder: The Caly 3 :spyder: :spyder: :spyder:

*I counted all variations of the Caly 3 as the same.

Some honourable mentions
Cricket & Police - 8 votes
Dragonfly - 5 votes
UKPK - 5 votes (this is interesting, given how similar it is to the Caly 3 - I wonder what the difference in market penetration is between the 2 knives?!)

Thanks to everyone who casted a vote, thanks to Dete for getting the thread started, and a HUGE thanks to the great folks in Golden!!
Top :spyder:s : Caly 3, Stretch, Millie, Manix 2, Police, Kopa, Polliwog, Meerkat, Chinook III, and SuperHawk.
