None have caught and maintained my fancy better than the little blue lassie pictured here. Purchased June 7, 2002, and while not EDC'ed all of that time, she has lots of hours, miles, and chores to her credit.

A few days ago, she helped score, cut and trim some molding for the guest bathroom. Gotta love that extremely sharp, pointy blade tip for this kind of work.

Dollar for dollar and pound for pound it is hard to beat ANY Delica.

Dan, that is the best D3 I think ever made. That blue handle is just the right color. Nice pic. :)

Manixworld,

The pictured blue Delica's blade is in ATS-55. It gets wickedly sharp and in my experience holds the edge respectably.

More knowledgeable members can chime in with details of the different steels used on the entire D3 series.

David,

Yeah, the blue came out pretty close on that one. I have an old Sony camera; the one that uses 3.5" floppy disks and it leaves a lot to be desired on closeups.

I like to play around taking pictures of my toys. I have always had difficulty with the colors of Spydercos and the alox versions of Victorinox.

dan :)

Cheers,
dan :)

Those earlier Delica/Endura points sure were pretty to look at, but man, I could not seem to keep from knocking the tips off the things no matter how careful I was...a little tap on something hard and pffft...off it would go. Very frustrating. And if you fumbled it...why...oooh why...did they always have to drop on that fragile point.

Lovely knife though. Easier to look at than the D/E4s for sure, but so far all my D4s still have their tips intact, so handsome is as handsome does I reckon.
