A New Native Coming? Tell Me It's True!

#1

Post by OuchThatsSharp »

Was checking out one of my "sources" and they have this listed:

C41CFP Native Carbon Fiber. No ETA.

Sal and company, tell me/ us Native fans, is it true and do you have an ETA?

If it is , I'm puttin' my pre-order in.

I noticed that one to on Catamount's site.
It does not show in the 2008 catalogue so i would guess this one to come out september at the earliest?? Or maybe next year?

****... I may have to buy one of those, even though I suspect it will be pricey.

:spyder: :spyder:  :spyder: :spyder: I wouldn't mind carrying one of those either :) Does anybody know the specs on it? Will it have steel liners, the same clip design, or something different? What type of blade steel, and configuration? Will it have the same lock? :spyder:

I'm an admirer of Spyderco's designs. Using them is like immersing yourself in music or studying a painting in a museum. I buy some "fine" art but my preference is for usable art.

Isn't there supposed to be a sprint run of Natives (C41) in CPM S125V? I would like one of those...I think. :p :D

I do hope Sal And Eric will bring it to the A'dam meeting on the 8th of March. I am a great fan of the Native knives (especially Native III).

If anybody has any pictures already (Leeds meeting?) please post them.

Looking forward to handling all the new stuff.

Sal said they still aren't able to work with S125V, so I wouldn't expect anything too soon... although it's only a matter of time before they work something out, so I'm sure it will happen eventually.

The new FFG, CF Native looks and feels nicer than just about any knife I've handled. I'd pre-order early if I where you.

So Im guessing it's true! I DO remember Sal saying that his present EDC is a prototype for a a Native 4, but that was a few weeks to a month ago. I didn't hear anything about CF though!

Are there liners like in CF Caly3? Blade steel? I think these data are not something that can be stolen.

Sorry, I can't remember, but it is being made in Japan, so probably VG-10.
