Primary differences would be a blade at least 3/8" longer, more if ACMA-Reus' 110 mm description is accurate, and the presence of a 50/50 choil which allows you to choke up on the blade. That's something both the Endura, and the original G-10 Police, lack.battlecreek1 wrote:Sorry, I'm new here and mildly ignorant of the history behind some Spyderco knives. So, here goes...besides some blade length, what is the differences between this new police model and the G-10 E4? I ask because I was looking at getting the G-10 E4, but after seeing this I wanted to get some info. Thanks in advance.

Yes !
I would say a very big YES for the Police to be the next Forum knife , very deserving if you consider how long this model has been around . MG2
They will be available in PE and SE. No current ETA.

I'm an admirer of Spyderco's designs. Using them is like immersing yourself in music or studying a painting in a museum. I buy some "fine" art but my preference is for usable art.

The problem is likely to be the pivot screw rather than the lanyard hole. If you take a solid clip from a stainless D4/E4 and try to mount it on the pivot end of the FRN model, the pivot screw holds the clip out from the scale. The same thing may well happen on this G-10 Police. From the pictures, I would say it would.Lost Jaguar wrote:Hey messer454--I envy you! Can you recall if the one you saw had the Endura style clip with the lanyard hole, as in that same picture? Since the picture from that German website shows a knife without an actual lanyard hole, it seems cheesy to have an Endura clip on it with a non-functional hole.
I would think that a variation as special as this would merit its own clip.
I'll have to have one of these even though I can't (legally) carry it. I would still like to see it paired with a G-10 Rookie in dark blue.
I don't believe in safe queens, only in pre-need replacements.
