I think you may need to design your own knife. Is this a comic for kids?

If it's a graphic novel for adults, how about the Spyderco folder with the wavy blade. I forgot what that's called.

What is the role of the "hitman"? There is a big difference between a government "owned" good guy taking out bad guys, and a "hired to kill anybody" type of slime.

Given a choice, we prefer that the bad guys not use Spyderco knives in films or books. We would encourage that the good guy use our knives for a positive purpose. Both for the industry and our image.

Actually, I see a hitman character more in tune with Tom Cruise's protrayal in Collatoral (in the film he used a Sebenza). A 'grey man' that blends in with his surroundings. In that vain, I'd suggest a plain Delica 4, of course with a ZDP Blade in full SE to handle all possible cutting jobs, even on inanimate objects. ;)

Well, anytime I think of badguy and spydies... I automatically go to Hannibal Lecter. I'm guessing I'm not the only one. :spyder:

i think sal is right. why bring ANY kind of negative attention to knife knuts esp. spyderlovers. why would you even want to have a comic featuring and glorifying a hitman.....isn't there enough violence in the world without showing people how they might better destroy someone.
imo...such a comic would be in bad taste. unless you asked this question just for fun  to see what people would say....in that case i would say something from c**d st**l....keep the good knives for the good guys (us spyderholics)

Sure, yeah: and let's get rid of movies while we're at it, too.

He woud be more of a "Boondock Saints" type Hitman, taking out bad guys like a vigilante or taking jobs from others to take out "slime"

Real hit men prefer to do their work using firearms. Don't ask me how I know.

Well I knew that just from "The Professional". The more distance between the hitman and the mark the easier it is to get away. Then again, when using a knife there is no bullet or GSR to link the hitman to the job

ROFLMAO :D Or a black micarta one for covert work.....with blackened leaf blade of course !

Else I would say a nice CF black Delica or Cricket :p for those who want your everyday sleeper.

But for nasty looking hitman:
Yojimbo
Captain
Military
Large Persian
Chinook
P'kal

But of course Spyderco's are for the 'cleaners' use only. Bad guys hitmen can use the inferior brands ;)

You're right. No GSR. However, there is a fair amount of blood, which is easier to trace than GSR. ;) :spyder:

I would say: Street beat with a sharpened swedge, two P'kals (one in each front pocket) and maybe a Ronin or Yojimbo.
Civilian... I would say no. Civilian would make extremely messy work. Hitman would stab if possible(more effective for quick killing), thus he would carry stabby knives, IMHO.
...but no, no, you know it all, it's harmless little bunny...

i think a good story and good artwork are "cooler" than any weapons.

as for the ethical issues this thread raises, i'm not going to be judge judy... but it seems like irresponsible representation of knives fuels the panic that causes the laws that restrict our carry. food for thought...

Paul,

The first photo was so good that, if it wasn't just a bit blurry, it would be my wallpaper on my none-secure network computer at work---too funny, and so appropriate.

This one was too much-- :D --I think you should star in the next film. I can see the preview now: "Hitman--the Middle Aged Years. Disguised as a mild mannered business professional, the famed deanimator slashes his way through hordes of evil foes in pursuit of freedom, justice, and a good deli sandwich which he consumes with the help of his trusty custom Spyderco Kopas..."

Truly excellent, sir. You turned this thread around for me. No offense to those who posted, but, as one who has dealt with real killers and who trains people in knife combat, this thread did not appeal to me much.

Thanks, Deacon. I needed a good laugh today.
