Riding the rails with my "Cricket"

I am planning a trip to Florida and

am taking an AMTRAK train ; Would my

"Cricket" with its diminutive blade

length cause any alarm ? Have any of

you formite(s) run into this type of

situation ? I mean, I can't fore see

a train crashing into a building, and

what would it profit a terrorist to

hold people on a train hostage with

a mere knife ? I'm just a little

"antsy" about the AMTRAK police.

I would think that AMTRAK would have a written knife policy posted somewhere where it would describe a certain blade length and limitations on certain knives. If I were you, I'd give them a call and see if there is any "rules" that might apply to size, etc. on your knife. My guess is that they wouldn't be as strict as the security on airlines. But, it is always wise to play it safe.<img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> I think you have a point there: I never heard of a dude holding a train single-handedly at bay with a Cricket.<img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> Who knows? Maybe they won't mind if you bring along a bigger knife. ( Like a Civilian....<img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> J/K )

Just in case, bring a SASE along with you to mail your knife back to your house in case they don't allow it on board.
